Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Prawn washed and shell removed 300gms.
  2. For the marination :
  3. One onion
  4. One tomato
  5. Ginger a one inch piece
  6. 10-15 garlic cloves
  7. Salt
  8. Half lemon
  9. Turmeric powder 1tbsp
  10. Chili powder 1 tbsp
  11. Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp
  12. Chicken masala 1 tbsp. Mustard oil
  13. Green coriander

Instructions

  1. Drain the water well from the washed prawns.
  2. Add lemon juice and all dry masala.
  3. Make a coarse paste of the marination ingredients and add to the prawns. Do not add salt.
  4. Mix everything nicely so that the marinade coats the prawns well.
  5. Keep aside for half an hour.
  6. Now heat two tbsp mustard oil In a kadhai. Add the prawns with the marination. If you like , you can add cubed potato.
  7. Mix well and keep the flame low.
  8. Cover and cook. Stir occasionally till the masala is well fried and leave oil. Add salt.
  9. Mix again and add one cup water.
  10. Cover and cook for 5 minutes. Adjust gravy consistency as u like. Do not make a runny gravy.
  11. Sprinkle some garam masala if u like and add green coriander.
  12. Serve hot.
