Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 250 grams small bitter gourd
  2. 1 Medium sized onion finely chopped
  3. 6 garlic cloves crushed
  4. One lemon juice
  5. Three heaped tbsp of red chilli powder
  6. 3 heaped tbsp of coriander powder
  7. Salt according to taste
  8. 2 tbsp oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Peel the bitter gourd and wash. Pat them dry and add one big spoon of salt and mix. Keep aside for two hours.
  2. After two hours, wash them and Scoop out the inner part and seeds of bitter gourd by making a long cut on them.
  3. Then take chopped onions in bowl ànd add the remaining ingredients and prepare the stuffing
  4. Stuff the bitter gourd with the mixture and press lightly so that they maintain their shape and become firm
  5. Now heat oil in the wok. Put the stuffed karelas carefully and stir gently. And cover it with a lid. Keep stirring occasionally until done
