Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Cauliflower - 1 medium size
  2. Onion paste - 1 onion
  3. Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  4. Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  5. Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
  6. Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Mace/jabitri powder - a pinch
  8. Cinnamon powdcer - a pinch
  9. Tomato puree - 1/2 cup
  10. Poppy seeds - 1 tbsp
  11. Cashew nuts - 1 tbsp
  12. Ginger garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  13. Black pepper - 2
  14. Green cardamom - 1
  15. Fried onion paste - 1/2 cup
  16. Curd - 1 tbsp
  17. Cream - 1 tbsp
  18. Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  19. Salt - to taste
  20. Oil - 1 cup

Instructions

  1. Wash cauliflower and boil in salted water in a thick bottom vessel for 5 mins.
  2. Strain it.
  3. Heat oil in a pan.
  4. Add whole cauliflower and fry in hot oil until golden in color for both the sides and strain it.
  5. Again heat oil in a pan.
  6. Add cardamom powder,pepper and onion paste n saute for 2 - 3 mins.
  7. Add ginger paste,cumin powder,turmeric powder,red chilly powder,coriander powder,cinnamon powder and mace powder and add some water and mix well.
  8. Blend the poppy seeds and cashew nuts to make a paste.
  9. Add poppy seeds paste and mix well.
  10. Add curd and tomato puree and mix well.
  11. Add cream and salt.
  12. Add fried onion paste and saute for one mins.
  13. Add garam masala powder and one cup of water.
  14. Finally add whole cauliflower and cover it for five mins.
  15. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
