ABOUT Honey butterscotch cookies RECIPE

Soft and chewy honey butterscotch cookies made with combination of whole wheat flour and banana flour. Apart from providing sweetness, honey is also giving a nice caramelized flavor to the cookies along with the butterscotch chips. A perfect and healthy snack option for kids and adults.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. whole wheat flour 1/2 cup
  2. Raw banana flour 1/2 cup
  3. Egg (medium size) 1
  4. Butter 30g
  5. Honey 1/4 cup
  6. Butterscotch chips 2 tablespoon
  7. Vanilla extract 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Take the egg, honey, butter in a deep bowl. Whisk them well till the mixture turns smooth and creamy.
  2. Add vanilla extract, give it a stir.
  3. Add the flour and butterscotch chips, form a sticky dough. Refrigerate the dough for half an hour.
  4. Drop the dough 2 inches apart on a parchment lined baking tray. Leave space between the cookies as these tend to spread on baking.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until they turn golden brown. They will remain soft once out of the oven, will harden on cooling.
  6. Store in airtight container on cooling. These will stay good for ten days
