ABOUT More Kuzhambu RECIPE

This is a sour yummy curry to be served with some steamed rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Ash Gourd - 100 gm
  2. Curd - 1 cup
  3. Turmeric - a pinch
  4. Salt - to taste
  5. To grind paste :
  6. 1 tsp toor dal
  7. 1 tsp Coreander Seeds
  8. 1 tsp dry Rice
  9. 1 tsp Cumjn Seeds
  10. Half cup grated coconut
  11. 3 green chillies
  12. few curry leaves
  13. TO TEMPER :
  14. 1 tsp mustard seeds
  15. 2 dry red chillies
  16. Few Currg Leaves
  17. Some Corwander Leaves to garnish

Instructions

  1. Start by boiling the ashgourd in 1 cup water, with enough salt and turmeric.
  2. Meanwhile, soak all the items listed in to grind in quarter cup water for 15 minutes.
  3. Grind them to fine paste.
  4. Add the paste into the ashgourd.
  5. Allow standing time of generous 5 minutes, switch off the flame.
  6. Add in the thick curd, give a fair stir.
  7. Season the items to be tempered in coconut oil and pour on to the curry
  8. The awesome yellowish green Curry gets ready to be served with hot rice and papad
