ABOUT Butter Chicken (restaurant style) RECIPE

This is my unique style of butter chicken recipe which tastes almost like the restaurant one.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken marination:
  2. Chicken- 1/2 kilograms (very small boneless pieces)
  3. Curd- 200 grams
  4. Ginger garlic paste- 1 tablespoon
  5. Salt- to taste
  6. Garam masala- a pinch
  7. Red color- a pinch
  8. For gravy:
  9. Onions- 3 (cut in 4 medium sized cubes)
  10. Tomatoes- 3 (cut in 4)
  11. Cashew nuts- 1/2 cup
  12. Butter- 1/2 packet
  13. Red chilly powder- 1 teaspoon
  14. Oil- 3 tablespoon
  15. Water- 1 cup
  16. Dried fenugreek leaves- for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Mix chicken with above ingredients and boil it till it gets cooked.
  2. In a pan add 1 tablespoon oil and saute tomatoes and onions. Let it cool.
  3. Grind them along with cashew nuts. Make a fine paste.
  4. Heat oil and half portion of butter in a pan. Add above paste and red chilly powder. Cook it for few minutes.
  5. When oil comes on the surface then add boiled chicken and mix well. Add some water.
  6. Cook till you get thick curry.
  7. Now add rubbed fenugreek leaves and give it a coal effect.
  8. Serve it hot with chapati.
