Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. chicken leg pieces 6
  2. 3 onion cut into big pieces
  3. ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  4. 4 cloves
  5. 1 cardamom
  6. cinnamon stick 1 inch
  7. tomato purée 1 cup
  8. lemon 1
  9. cashew 8-10
  10. zeera powder 1 tsp
  11. coriander powder 1 tbsp
  12. butter 1 tbsp
  13. Kasuri methi 1 tsp
  14. red chilli powder 1 tsp
  15. salt
  16. sugar 1 tsp
  17. fresh cream or Malai 1 tbsp
  18. bay leaf 1

Instructions

  1. squeeze one lemon and salt to the chicken and keep it for 20 mins
  2. then microwave it covered for 10 mins
  3. in a pan take 1 tsp oil and sauté onion for 1-2 mins..let it cool and make a paste
  4. in a pan take 2 tbsp of oil and butter
  5. add whole cardamom,cinnamon,clove,bay leaf ...sauté for 30 seconds to give the aroma
  6. add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a min
  7. now add the onion paste and cook well till masalas are well cooked and the raw smell goes
  8. add tomato purée...add turmeric powder,red chilli powder,coriander powder,cumin powder and mix well
  9. cook all the masalas till oil separates
  10. add the chicken pieces,salt and sugar and cook it covered for 8-10 mins
  11. add cashew paste and cook again for 2-3 mins
  12. add water to desired consistency
  13. add fresh cream and mix well...
  14. add kasuri methi and mix well
  15. serve hot with paratha or roti
