ABOUT Palak Paneer,with the goodness of milk , video recipe.. RECIPE

Low calorie and light Palak paneer , without cream . My kids love this so much , that they want it every week one time. I did not add any colour , with less spices . My first step wise video recipe :blush: . I have learnt this recipe from one of my close friend , i was using cream before , but now i do not use cream , i add low fat milk for this yummy and creamy gravy !

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer 400 gms
  2. Onion 2 nos
  3. Garlic pods 4 small sized
  4. Ginger 1/2 inches
  5. Sugar 1 tsp
  6. Salt as per your taste
  7. Spinach leaves 20 big size approximately
  8. Powdered masalas :
  9. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  10. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  11. coriander powder 1 tsp
  12. Garam masala 1/2 tsp
  13. Chopped coriander 1 tbsp for garnishing
  14. Milk boiled 1 1/2 cup
  15. Tomato 1 pureed

Instructions

  1. Boil water , add salt
  2. Add frozen paneer to the boiled water , put the lid , boil for 5 mins in medium heat , keep aside , do not strain paneer , keep them immersed in the water until you add them to the gravy
  3. Boil 1/2 cup water in medium heat add spinach leaves, add sugar
  4. boil for 5 mins , keep aside
  5. Cut and chop onion , garlic and ginger , heat oil in a wok , add 1 chopped onion , saute until translucent
  6. Make paste of 1 onion , garlic and ginger , grind boiled spinach when cooled down
  7. Add turmeric powder , chilli powder , coriander powder
  8. Add onion , garlic and ginger paste
  9. Add tomato puree also , saute for 2-3 minutes (not showing in the video )
  10. Add spinach paste
  11. Saute for some time
  12. Add milk and salt
  13. Cook paneer in the gravy , until the gravy gets thickened for 5-7 mins in medium heat
  14. When the gravy gets thickened add garam masala powder ( not in the video )
  15. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
  16. Serve hot with roti or patatha
