ABOUT Palak paneer rice RECIPE

Palak paneer is such a delicious and interesting rice, so this is a one pot meal where the rice is tossed in the palak gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer -1 cup
  2. palak (blanch and make a puree of the same] - 1 cup
  3. Boiled rice - 1 cup
  4. Onion [chopped] - 1
  5. Tomatoes [chopped] - 1
  6. Garlic-ginger & chilly paste - 2 tsp
  7. Ghee/Butter/oil
  8. Cumin powder - 1 tsp
  9. Garam masala powder - 1/4 th tsp
  10. salt

Instructions

  1. Heat a pan with some butter/ghee. Then add the chopped onion and saute until golden brown. Then add the ginger-garlic & chilly paste and saute for few minutes.
  2. Then add the chopped tomatoes, followed by the powdered spices, salt and cook. Once the masala leaves oil, then add the pureed spinach, cook further until the masala leaves oil from the sides.
  3. Then add the paneer and cook for few seconds, then add the boiled rice into this. Toss and mix, serve hot.
