An easy pulao when there are minimal ingredients at home but you still need to make something delicious.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Basmati rice 1 cup
  2. Onion 2 finely sliced in long
  3. Green chillies 2
  4. Cloves 4-5 crushed
  5. Cardamom 2 crushed
  6. oil 2 tbsp
  7. Bay leaf 1
  8. Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
  9. Cinnamon stick 1 small crushed
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Kewra assence
  12. A pinch of jalebi color dissloved in water
  13. Water to cook
  14. Raisins a few
  15. Cashews a few

Instructions

  1. Wash rice nicely and drain water in a seive and leave it aside for 2o mins.
  2. Take 2 tbsp of oil in a pot and add cumin, crushed cloves, cardamom, cinnamon stick , green chilli, onion and keep stirring until onion turns translucent.
  3. Now add cashews, raisins and soaked rice and keep stirring until rice turns slight golden in color.
  4. Now add 2 1/2 cup of water and salt to taste in it... And close the lid of the pot and sim the flame.
  5. When rice is 3/4 cooked add jalebi color mixed in water and 5-6 drops of kewra assence. Close the lid again.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves... Enjoy!
