ABOUT Channa Masala RECIPE

Spicy and delicious chick peas curry which can be served with some fluffy pooris or parathas.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup Soaked Kabuli Chana [chickpeas]
  2. 1 - 2 Onions
  3. 1 1/2 cup Tamto Puree
  4. 4-5 Green chilli split into halves
  5. 1 ts ginger garlic paste
  6. 2 Ts Red.chilli powder
  7. 1 Ts Turmeric powder
  8. 1 Garam masala powder
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Coriander leaves for garnishing
  11. 1 Ts Kasoori Methi

Instructions

  1. Firstly pressure cook the soaked channa with little salt and water in a cooker.
  2. Take small kadai with 3-4 ts oil , saute the small chopped onions in it. Add ginger garlic paste ,turmeric powder and saute them.
  3. After that, add tomato puree and fry well. Add dry spice powders like the chilly powder and garam masala and allow it for cook.
  4. Add cooked channa and mix well with the mixture.Add salt and coriander leaves and little water & bring boil. Serve
