ABOUT KALE CHANNA MASALA RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 bowl kale channa
  2. 4 Onions
  3. 4 green chillies
  4. 1 inch ginger
  5. 15 cloves garlic
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. Haldi 1/4 tsp
  9. 1 tsp garam masala
  10. Oil 1 tsp
  11. Dry spices (4 clove, 1 inch cinnamon stick, 2 bade elachi, 2 choti elachi, 2 bay leaf)
  12. 1/4 tsp black pepper
  13. 2 tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Soak channa overnight or at least 5/6 hours
  2. Grind Onions, ginger, garlic in mixer
  3. Make tomato puree
  4. In cooker put channa and water little higher than channa and boil for at least 6 whistle
  5. Switchoff the gas and keep to cool
  6. In pan or kadai put oil and put all dry spices
  7. When they crackles, add onion paste and ginger garlic paste
  8. And saute it till it changes color
  9. Add tomato puree
  10. Add all dry masalas and little water, saute it till it spreads aroma
  11. Now add the channa and saute it nicely in slow gas, cover and cook till masalas blend with each other.
  12. Now add garam masala and off the gas
  13. Garnish with coriander leaves and ginger sticks
