This is a special quick and easy kadhi recipe from Gujarat that is made during summer. Have it with rice.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. For Mango Ras : 3 - Alphonso mangoes, roughly chopped
  2. 11/2 Cup - Water
  3. To make fajeto / mango kadhi - 1/2 Cup - Mango ras
  4. 1/2 Cup - Chickpea flour
  5. 1 Glass - Buttermilk
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1 tbsp - Jagerry
  8. 1 tbsp - Green chilies, finely chopped
  9. Tempering : 1 tbsp - Oil
  10. 1/4 tsp - Mustered seeds
  11. 1/4 tsp - Cumin seeds
  12. Pinch of Asafoetida
  13. 1Inch - Cinnamon stick
  14. 1 - Clove
  15. 1 - Kashmiri chilli

Instructions

  1. Blend all the ingredients mentioned under mango ras and keep it in refrigerator until other things are ready.
  2. Blend all the ingredients of fajeto except tempering and cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
  3. In A small nonstick pan heat some oil and add all the ingredients mentioned under tempering. Pour the tempering on kadhi and mix it well.
  4. Cook for another 10 minutes and then turn off the gas. Serve it hot with rice.
