ABOUT Fajeto RECIPE

This is a typical Gujarati recipe specially made along with aamras and poori.Beautiful blend of sweet mangoes with sourness of curd.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Curd 1 cup
  2. Mango pulp/puree 1/4 cup
  3. Water 2 cups
  4. Besan 1 tbsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Ginger 1 inch
  7. Green chilli 1
  8. Jaggery 1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  10. Dry ginger powder 1/4 tsp
  11. For tempering:
  12. Oil/Ghee 1 tbsp
  13. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  14. Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  15. Asafetida 1 pinch
  16. Dry Red chillies 2
  17. Cinnamon stick 1 inch
  18. Cloves 2
  19. Curry leaves 1 sprig

Instructions

  1. Take a bowl and mix curd,mango puree,water,besan properly into a lumpfree batter.
  2. Add salt crushed ginger chilli paste,ginger powder,turmeric .
  3. Take a deep pan and put oil or ghee for tempering.
  4. Add mustard seeds,cumin seeds.
  5. When they splutter add cloves,cinnamon,dry chillies and curry leaves.
  6. Lastly add asafetida and pour the curd mango mix into this pan.
  7. Let it simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.Keep stirring in between.
  8. Serve hot with Ras,poori ,rice.
