ABOUT Fajeto RECIPE

It's an authentic recipe of mango kadhi made by my grandfather yes my Nanu every mango season Sundays we use to wait for Fajeto and jeera rice. Believe me it is the yummiest thing one can have.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mango pulp 1/2 cup
  2. Curd 1/2 cup
  3. Besan 2 tbsp
  4. Haldi/turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt to taste
  6. Sugar as per taste (if mangoes are too sweet you may omit.)
  7. Green chillies 2
  8. Dry kokum 2
  9. For tempering:--
  10. Mustard,hing,dry whole chillies,curry leaves,cloves.
  11. Coriander leaves for for garnishing.

Instructions

  1. Mix together curd mango pulp and besan add 4 cups of water and beat well to mix all properly.
  2. Add salt sugar haldi mix all and heat stir continuously. Add two dry kokum, 2 slitted green chillies, and curry leaves keep some leaves for tadka.
  3. Boil for 10-12 mins and switch of the flame.
  4. In a small pan add 1 tbsp of ghee add mustard seeds when they splutter, add hing red chillies curry leaves and cloves and pour the tadka to above mixture. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with jeera rice.
