Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For the wadas
  2. Suji 1 cup
  3. Pure Ghee 2 to 3 tbsp
  4. Sour curd 1/2 cup(use more if needed)
  5. For the sugar syrup
  6. sugar 1 cup
  7. Water 1 1/2 Cup
  8. Elachi 2 pods
  9. Kesar few strands
  10. Rosewater 2 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Take the rawa and add ghee.Mix well.This is very important.Too much ghee will break the wadas and too little will make them dry. Thumb rule -when you press the rawa and ghee lumps should be formed
  2. Add curd and make a dough.Make a soft dough.Add more curd if required. Let the dough stand for 15 to 20 mins
  3. Now make small puris and fry in pure ghee till golden brown and put these directly in the sugar syrup. Remove from the syrup and drain it.
  4. Sugar syrup (prepare while frying the wadas)
  5. Take water ,rose water sugar elachi and kesar and make a 2 strand syrup.
