ABOUT Dahi wada RECIPE

This is a famous recipe, all over India and has different versions of the same, so here is how I make them at home.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Urad daal - 1cup
  2. Salt - As required
  3. Oil - For deep frying
  4. Soda - 1/2tablespoon
  5. Thick yogurt - 1cup
  6. Sugar - 1/4cup or as required
  7. Green chutney - 2/3tablespoon
  8. Sweet chutney - 2/3tablespoon
  9. Cilantro - For garnishing
  10. Hot water - 2-3cups

Instructions

  1. Soak urad daal in hot water for 2hrs.
  2. Grind it.
  3. Than add salt and soda.
  4. Heat the oil make small rounds from mixture and deep fry it.
  5. Once the wadaas are fried put them im hot water for 7-8mins.
  6. Squeeze them.
  7. Mix sugar and yogurt.
  8. In a bowl place the wadas than put yogurt.
  9. Put some sweet chutney and green chutney.
  10. Garnish with cilantro.
