ABOUT Punugulu RECIPE

This punugulu are made from left over idly batter they r crisp on outside and soft in center

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1/4 cup idly batter
  2. 3/4 cup maida
  3. 2 -3 tbsp rice flour
  4. 1 small onion cut into small pieces
  5. 1 green chilli cut into thin pieced
  6. Cumin 1 tsp
  7. Oil for Deep frying

Instructions

  1. Take idly batter add maida mix it well and leave it on counter top for 6 hrs to ferment
  2. After 6 hrs add cumin sliced onion,green chilli if required add little salt add rice flour and mix
  3. Take oil for deepfrying let it reach to smoking point add the batter with a spoon or with our hands
  4. Let them turn golden brown flip them in between obce they r brown on both sides remove from oil andcput them on tissues
  5. Serve with desired chutney and enjoy .u will surely not stop at one
