An Indo chinese inspired, prawn dish, goes well with rotis

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Prawns cleaned and deveined 20
  2. TO MARINATE PRAWNS
  3. Chilli powder 2tsp
  4. Salt
  5. Pepper 1 tsp
  6. garlic paste 1 tsp
  7. Corn flour 1tsp.
  8. Lemon juice 1/2tsp
  9. Oil to fry.
  10. FOR THE SAUCE
  11. Scheshwan sauce 1 1/2 tbsp
  12. Onion 2, medium,chopped
  13. Capsicum,chopped 1
  14. Ginger 1 small piece,chopped
  15. Garlic ,5 cloves ,chopped
  16. Tomato ketchup 1 1/2 tbsp
  17. Pepper 2 pinch
  18. Green chillies 2,chopped
  19. Light soy sauce 1tsp
  20. Sugar 2 pinch
  21. Corn flour 1tsp
  22. Water 1 cup + 2tbsp
  23. oil 2 tbsp
  24. For decoration
  25. Spring onion,chopped,3 tbsp,

Instructions

  1. Marinate prawns with pepper,salt, lemon juice garlic paste.& corn flour. Keep for 15 min..Then heat oil in a pan,fry the prawns. Keep aside
  2. In another pan heat oil,1tbsp .then add ginger,garlic,chillies.fry till brown. Then add onion, after frying it for a few min, add capsicum.fry for a few seconds.
  3. Then add tomato ketchup,scheshwan sauce,soy sauce,pepper,salt,sugar,.cook for a few min. Add water,let it boil for 3,4 min.
  4. Dilute corn flour with 2 tbsp of water. Add to the gravy. When gravy s thick, remove from fire. Add spring onion..
  5. At the time of serving,place prawns on plate & then pour sauce on top & serve hot with poori or any roti.
