Kandyachi paaticha pithala is a Maharashtrian dish. Basen and onion leaves are used in that. It gives more taste with chapati or bhakari.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rostated basen 1/2 cup
  2. Onion 1 big chopped
  3. Spring onion 2 cups chopped
  4. Oil 1 tbsp
  5. Haldi 1 tsp
  6. Garlic 3 cloves
  7. Mustard 1 tsp
  8. Red Chili Powder 1 Tsp
  9. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a kadhai heat oil then add in mustard. When the seeds start to splutter add crushed garlic, haldi, red chilli powder.
  2. Mix it quickly, then stir in the onions and saute till onions are well cooked. Add in salt and then the spring onion greens.
  3. Saute it well, sprinkle a little water, about 2 Tbsp, stir again.
  4. Once the veggies are cooked thoroughly stir in the roasted besan slowly . Mix it well.
  5. If the dish becomes too dry again sprinkle a little water. On low heat cover and cook for 2 minutes. Turn off the heat and let it sit with the lid on for 5 minutes more.
  6. Serve hot with Rotis or bhakri.Enjoy
