ABOUT Muglai Chicken RECIPE

It is soft tendered chicken cooked with curd and tomatoes.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 500 gm Chicken full legs
  2. 1 tbsp Desi ghee
  3. Paste of 3 Onions
  4. Puree of 3-4 Tomatoes
  5. 1 Bay leaf
  6. Salt to taste
  7. 1 tsp Chicken masala
  8. 1/4 tsp Garam masala powder
  9. 1/4 tsp Coriander powder
  10. 3-4 chopped Green chillies
  11. 1/4 tsp Kasturi methi powder
  12. 3-4 Cloves
  13. 1/4 tsp Jeera
  14. 1 Dalchini stick
  15. For Marination:
  16. 1/2 cup Curd
  17. 1/4 tsp Ginger garlic paste
  18. 1/4 tsp Red chilli powder
  19. Salt to taste
  20. 2 tsp Lime juice
  21. Coriander leaves, chopped for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Take chicken pieces and add all the ingredients for the marination. Keep aside.
  2. Take desi ghee in a karahi and add jeera, bay leaf, cloves, dalchini stick.
  3. Add onion paste and saute till golden brown.
  4. Now add all the dry spices and little water. Saute for a minute on low flame.
  5. Add the marinated chicken and saute for 9-10 minutes on low flame.
  6. Now add pureed tomatoes, green chillies and again saute for 7-8 minutes on low flame. Add kasturi methi powder.
  7. Add water and cover it. Cook till chicken is done.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  9. Serve hot with laccha parantha or naan.
