ABOUT Labanga Latika RECIPE

This is a Bengali traditional recipe made during Durga Puja.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. All purpose flour 2 cup
  2. Baking powder 1 tsp
  3. Oil to make a dough 2 tbsp
  4. Mawa 2 cup
  5. Sugar powder 2 tbsp
  6. Milk powder 2 tbsp
  7. Crushed dry fruits 1 cup
  8. cardamom powder 1 tsp
  9. Clove 10-15
  10. Oil for deep frying 2 cup

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth dough with refined flour, baking powder and refined oil. Keep aside.
  2. Take a frying pan, heat it and add Mawa, stir continuously. Add sugar powder, dry fruits and cardamom powder. Mix well.
  3. Now spread a small dough, fill the center with fillings and fold four sides. Prick with clove. So filling will not come out.
  4. Then deep fry and serve.
