ABOUT Mooli roti with paneer kofta RECIPE

An ideal nutritious breakfast dish on a winter morning.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For mooli roti-
  2. Grated white mooli 1 cup
  3. Whole wheat atta 2 cups
  4. Green chilies 4
  5. Salt to taste
  6. For paneer kofta-
  7. Grated paneer 1 cup
  8. Grated tomato- 1/4 cup
  9. Coriander leaves 1 bunch
  10. Chilly powder and garam massa 1/4 tsp each
  11. Salt and sugar to taste
  12. Tamarind juice 2 tbsp
  13. Onion- 1/4 cup grated
  14. Ginger and garlic 1 tsp
  15. Oil for deep frying and sauteing for both the recipes

Instructions

  1. For mooli roti-
  2. Add 1 cup water to atta in a large vessel, and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  3. Now add salt, grated mooli and chopped chilies.
  4. Add chopped mooli greens or chopped coriander leaves (optional)
  5. Mix gently with a ladle and set it aside for 15 minutes
  6. For the paneer kofta-
  7. Sprinkle water on the grated paneer and mix well. Add 1/2 tsp atta and salt and knead well, shaping it into 10 oblong pieces.
  8. In a kadai, shallow fry the paneer pieces in hot oil till they are golden brown.
  9. In the same kadai, use the left over oil to make the kofta gravy, by seasoning with jeera and saunf.
  10. Add grated onion, ginger, garlic not tomato and fry till golden brown.
  11. Add salt, haldi, chilly powder and garam masala and stir fry over high flame for 2 minutes.
  12. Add tamarind paste, sugar and fry for another 2 minutes.
  13. Now add the pan e'er kofta and simmer on low flame for a few minutes.
  14. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  15. Serve hot with with mooli roti.
