ABOUT Royal Mutton Korma RECIPE

My very own recipe and believe me it was finger licking.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Mutton pieces 1/2 kg
  2. Onions 3 medium size
  3. Curd 200 gms
  4. Oil 200 ml
  5. Ginger and garlic paste 1 tbsp
  6. Red chilli powder 2 tsp
  7. Cumin powder 1 tsp
  8. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  9. Whole spices: 2/3 piece of cinnamon stick
  10. Cloves 3/4
  11. Green cardamom 3/4
  12. Bay leaves 2/3
  13. Black pepper 1/2 tsp
  14. Salt as per taste
  15. Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Marinate the mutton in curd, ginger and garlic paste for 1/2 an hour.
  2. Pressure cook this marinated mutton with the whole spices for 10 minutes.
  3. Slice one of the onions and grind the rest into a paste.
  4. In another pan heat oil and fry the sliced onion. Once it is golden brown add to it the onion paste, ginger and garlic paste and all the spice.
  5. Cook well on a low flame until oil separates.
  6. Add the mutton and mix well. Add a little water and cook for five minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve with roti.
