ABOUT Yemeni Style Liver Fry RECIPE

It is a very delicious kaleji fry from the country Yemen. It is done in a jiffy and the best part is no need of any pressure cooking. Absolutely yumm. I eat this many a times from the restaurants but i also gave it a try at home whenever I could. This festive season I did try it for sure.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Goat liver 250 gm (Finely chopped into very tiny pieces)
  2. Tomatoes 2, finely chopped
  3. Chilli powder or green chillies according to taste (I added chilli powder 1 tbsp).
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Garlic minced 1 tbsp, fresh
  6. Coriander leaves to garnish
  7. Coriander powder 1 tsp
  8. Oil to stir fry, 2 tbsp
  9. Onion 1 large, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil and saute the onions.
  2. Add the tomatoes and the masalas.
  3. Add the liver pieces.
  4. Keep stirring until well mixed.
  5. Keep stirring in between, keeping the flame on medium.
  6. Do not cover it. It will be done in no time at all.
  7. As the tomatoes and onion will leave water, it is best cooked on medium to high flame only without covering. Keep stirring in between.
  8. Serve hot with burger buns or kuboos bread or any bread available or even rotis.
