ABOUT CHICKEN DAAL KICHDI RECIPE

Chicken daal kichdi is one of the most delicious rice recipes. A recipe where chicken is mixed with moong daal kichdi and cooked nicely.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1. Melted ghee  -   4 tspn
  2. 2. Cumin seeds  -  1 tspn
  3. 3. Bay leaves  -  3 or 4
  4. 4. Cardamoms  -  3
  5. 5. Cloves  -  3
  6. 6. Green chillies  -  3 or 4
  7. 7. Ginger garlic paste  -  1 tspn
  8. 8. Onion  -  2
  9. 9. Turmeric powder  - 1/2 tspn
  10. 10. Red chilli powder  -  1 tspn
  11. 11. Chicken  -  1/2 kg
  12. 12. Moong daal - 1/2 cup
  13. 13. Basmati or any rice  -  2 cup
  14. 14. Water
  15. 15. Salt
  16. 16. Ghee  - 2 tspn
  17. 17. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker add melted ghee, cumin seeds, bay leaves, cardamoms, cloves, green chillies and ginger garlic paste and saute it for a minutes.
  2. Add sliced onions and salt and saute it for 5 minutes.
  3. Add turmeric powder and red chilli powder and mix well.
  4. Add chicken, mix nicely, add some water and allow it to cook for sometime.
  5. Add moong daal and basmati rice and mix well.
  6. Add coriander leaves and mix nicely.
  7. Fill the pressure till half with water, add 2 tspn ghee and cover it up, cook it for 4 whistles.
  8. Healthy and delicious Chicken daal kichdi is ready to be served. Serve hot ! HAPPY COOKING BY Byte it ! Enjoy !
