ABOUT Hakka Noodles Spring Rolls RECIPE

Noodle Spring Rolls is a Chinese dish made by using noodles as the stuffing inside spring rolls. This interesting snack recipe goes well as snacks on occasions like birthday and anniversary parties. Spring Rolls are one of the most common ordered appetizer in many restaurants. However I personally do not like the bland taste of only cabbage and carrots in spring roll. Made Hakka Noodles and used it as a filling in the spring Roll.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 1 Packet Hakka Noodles ( Cooked as per the instructions)
  2. 6-8 French beans, diagonally sliced
  3. 1 medium carrot, cut into thin strips
  4. 1 green capsicum, cut into strips
  5. ¼ small cabbage, shredded
  6. Oil for frying
  7. Salt to taste
  8. White pepper powder to taste
  9. 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  10. 1 teaspoon vinegar
  11. 2 stalks spring onion greens, diagonally sliced
  12. Diagonally sliced spring onion greens for garnishing
  13. Sweet chilly dip : 3 tbsp chilly flakes
  14. 2 tbsp crushed garlic
  15. 3 tbsp sugar
  16. 1 tsp cornflour/ refined flour
  17. 1/2 cup water
  18. 3 tsp tomato ketchup
  19. 1 tsp Tabasco sauce
  20. 20 wonton wrappers
  21. Sticking paste : 3 tbsp refined flour
  22. 1 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Method For Hakka Noodles : Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add Onion, capsicum, french beans, cabbage and carrot strips and saute for 1 minute each.
  2. Add salt, white pepper powder, soy sauce,cook for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add vinegar and spring onion greens and toss well. The Hakka Noodles are ready keep it aside.
  4. Tobasco Sauce Mixture : In tomato ketchup mix little tobasco sauce.
  5. For Sweet Chilly Dip : In a pan add crushed garlic, chilly flakes, sugar, 1/2 cup water and cornflour/ refined flour mix well and boil it for around 3-5 mins. Switch off the flame and let it cool down.
  6. For Sticking paste : Take refined flour mix it well with 1 tbsp of water and prepare a thick paste.
  7. Preparing Spring Rolls : Pick a spoonful of the filling and lay it on the wanton wrapper and roll it into a cylinder and stick using the paste made.
  8. Fry the rolls in oil on medium flame. Remove them once golden brown on a tissue paper.
  9. The delicious Spring rolls are ready!
  10. Enjoy the Hakka Noodles Spring Rolls with Tobasco Sauce Mixture or Sweet Chilly Dip.
