ABOUT KUTCHI GULABI PAKIT RECIPE

Gulab pak is Kutch-Gujarat's famous traditional delicacy. Flavoured with rose petals, soft yet crunchy and enriched with the goodness of dry fruits . It is rich in nutrition value and famous all over the world.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 250gm Indian Rose Petals (fresh)
  2. 250gm Mava (khoya)
  3. 4 tsp milk
  4. Saffron- few threads
  5. 300gm sugar
  6. Ghee (as needed)
  7. Rose essence
  8. 1 cup Roasted Almond , Pistachios and Cashew nuts
  9. 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  10. Samosa Strips for making packets
  11. Rose petals for garnishing
  12. 2 tbsp Rose syrup
  13. 2 tbsp Saffron Syrup

Instructions

  1. 1. Take milk in a bowl and add few saffron threads,then keep it aside.
  2. 2. Now take fresh rose petals in a bowl and pour warm water in it. After few minutes remove the petals from the warm water and keep them aside.
  3. 3. Take a pan ,add ghee & then roast mava (khoya) in it. Roast it till we get its aroma . Keep it aside.
  4. 4. In the same pan add sugar and 1/2 cup water for making sugar syrup ( 1 string).
  5. 5. When the sugar water is boiling add the rose petals and mix well.
  6. 6. Stir it continuously till the syrup is ready. Take care that rose petals should not stick each other.
  7. 7. Now add cardamon powder and rose essence to it.
  8. 8. When the syrup is ready ( 1 string), add the saffron mixed milk to it. Enjoy the aroma
  9. 9. Now add the roast mava in it and mix well on a slow flame.
  10. 10. Add the chopped Almond, Cashew nuts and Pistachio to it & mix well.
  11. 11. Stir well till it get proper consistency to lay on a plate to make the pieces.
  12. 12. Now grease the plate with ghee, pour the ready Gulab Pak mixture on it and set it properly.
  13. 13. Add few chopped fresh rose petals and flatten it properly on the Gulab Pak mixture.
  14. 14. After sometime cut into pieces-Delicious Kutchi Traditional Gulab Pak is ready.
  15. 15. Now take the samosa strips cut into half, place it cross wise.
  16. 16. Add Kutchi Gulab Pak in center sprinkle Dry fruits slits and pack it by folding each side applying little water to seal it well.
  17. 17. After the packets are ready grease the oven tray with ghee and place all the Kutchi Gulabi Pakits on it and bake.
  18. GARNISHING : Take the plate , arrange all the Traditional Kutchi Gulabi Pakits on it. Pour the Saffron Syrup and Rose Syrup to add flavour and serve it.
