ABOUT Tadke wali Dal with rice RECIPE

Tadke wali dal and rice is traditional north indian dish, most of the people in north india like to have dal and chawal at least twice a week.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cup soaked arhar dal
  2. 1.5 tbsp salt
  3. 1 tsp mirch powder
  4. 1 tsp haldi powder
  5. 1 tsp chopped garlic
  6. 2 chopped tomato
  7. 2 chopped onions
  8. 1 tsp chopped coriander
  9. 2 tsp oil
  10. 1 tsp sabji masala
  11. 4 cup water
  12. For Tadka
  13. 3 tsp desi ghee
  14. 1 tsp jeera
  15. 1 pinch hing
  16. 1 tsp Degi mirch powder

Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker cook the Dal with water, salt and haldi powder till 3-4 whistles .
  2. In a Pan add oil and Saute garlic, onion and then add chopped tomatoes
  3. add rest of the spices and cover it and cook on simmer for 7 to 10 minutes.
  4. Add this gravy to dal in pressure cooker after opening the lid and again cook it on simmer for 5 minutes
  5. In tadka Pan add ghee then add jeera,hing n degi mirch powder .
  6. Spill this Tadka over dal and Sprinkle chopped coriander
  7. Tadke wali Dal is ready relish it with rice and roti
