Popular traditional dish of Jharkhand which is eaten with potato curry or chickpeas curry

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice 1 cup
  2. Chana Daal 1/2 cup
  3. Urad dhuli daal 1/4 ,cup
  4. Ginger 1 inch
  5. Green chillies 2...3
  6. Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
  7. Red pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Salt 1/2 teaspoon
  9. Cumin powder 1 teaspoon
  10. chaat masala 1 teaspoon
  11. Some coruander leaves
  12. Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak rice and both the pulses for atleast 6 hours
  2. Then grind along with 1 green chilli and ginger
  3. Batter should be of medium thick consistency
  4. Now add salt , pepper powder , turmeric powder ,cumin powder and chaat masala
  5. Add finely chopped green chilli and coriander leaves
  6. Mix well
  7. Put a vok on medium heat
  8. Add oil for frying
  9. Spread batter full of ladle in the oil
  10. Fry till golden flipping through both sides
  11. Serve hot with potato curry or pickle
