Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 cup besan
  2. 2 tbs yogurt
  3. 1 tsp carom seeds
  4. 1 tsp crushed black pepper
  5. 1 tbs crushed coriander seeds
  6. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1tsp red chili powder
  8. 1tsp garam masala powder
  9. Pinch of baking soda
  10. 1 tbs oil
  11. Salt to taste
  12. 1 tbs water ,or as needed
  13. For Gravy=
  14. 1 medium onion chopped
  15. 1 tomato chopped
  16. 1 tbs cumin seeds
  17. 1 tbs ginger garlic paste
  18. 2 tsp red chili powder
  19. 1 turmeric powder
  20. 2 tsp coriander powder
  21. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  22. Pinch of Asfotieda
  23. 1/4 cup yoghurt
  24. 2 tbs oil
  25. 1 bay leaf
  26. Coriander leaves chopped

Instructions

  1. All gatta ingredients mix together and add little water and make soft dough.
  2. After make small roll with hand.
  3. Boil 3 glasses of water in the pot.
  4. Add rolls into the water and boil 10 to 15 minutes on medium heat.
  5. After remov from the water and cool down for 5 minutes.
  6. Cut small round pieces.
  7. Heat oil in the pan.
  8. Add cumin seeds and asfotieda.
  9. Add bay leaf, onions and fry till soft.
  10. Then add ginger garlic paste,saute 1 minute.
  11. Add tomato and yogurt and all spices.
  12. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  13. Add gatta pieces, mix well and add 1/2 glass of water.
  14. Cover and cook for a minute.
  15. After garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
