ABOUT Seviyaan Kheer RECIPE

A very rich and Tasty dessert made of vermicelli / seviyaan, the taste is accentuated with cashews, cardamom powder, raisins and almonds. This Kheer can be served hot or cold tastes like Payasam seviyan of south too.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 litre full cream Milk
  2. 250 gms of vermicelli
  3. 150 gms, gms dry fruits
  4. Raisins cashews almonds blanched and cut small
  5. 10 gms cardamom powder
  6. 100 gms sugar (powdered)

Instructions

  1. Boil milk in a heavy bottom pan giving 2-3 boils to enhance creamy texture.
  2. Now add powdered sugar and stir well.
  3. Add vermicelli, cardamom powder, almonds and cashews (as they take time to be done).
  4. Boil and stir and check if both are soft.
  5. Now add raisins and boil for 5 minutes and put off stove cover. Let it settle for ten minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
