ABOUT AMRITSARI TANDOORI CHICKEN RECIPE

Everybody loves tandoori chicken, a perfect starter for all dinner party occasions. So this is how I make it at home for my loved ones.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Chicken - 500 gms 6 pieces
  2. Ginger - 1 piece
  3. Garlic cloves - 4 - 5
  4. Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  5. Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
  6. Black pepper - 5 - 6
  7. Green cardamom - 1
  8. Black cardamom - 1
  9. Thick curd - 2 tbsp
  10. orange color --a pinch
  11. Salt - to taste
  12. Oil - 4 tbsp
  13. Butter - 4 tbsp
  14. Red chilly powder - 1 tbsp
  15. Chicken masala powder- 1 tsp
  16. Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash chicken pieces and prick from all sides with fork.
  2. Take a blender. Add ginger, garlic, cinnamon,c loves, black pepper, black and green cardamom and make a paste.
  3. Marinate chicken with thick curd, salt, ginger garlic paste, lemon juice and all spices.
  4. Add orange colour in it.
  5. Keep aside for three hours.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and roast chicken pieces on low flame.
  7. Turn the sides of the chicken pieces every 5 minutes.
  8. Pour the butter over the chicken pieces
  9. Serve hot with chapati or naan.
