ABOUT Ghee Paranthas ( Travel friendly ) RECIPE

Melting in the mouth Ghee Paranthas are ready in 10 - 13 minutes . Best travel friendly food which stays fresh for long hours or even days . An easy healthy yummy tiffin box recipe as well . Children love to eat these parathas for their soft , flaky , melting texture .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Whole wheat flour 170 grams
  2. water 1/4 cup
  3. Ghee 6 tablespoons
  4. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Take 170 grams whole wheat flour in a bowl . Add a pinch of salt .
  2. Add 2 tablespoons ghee to the flour . Mix using finger tips . The flour should be in holding state
  3. Knead the flour into a smooth dough while adding water gradually .
  4. Rest the covered dough for 5 minutes . As we use generous ghee , resting time isn’t needed .
  5. Make medium sized balls and roll into a small round roti .
  6. Spread a teaspoon of ghee on the roti .
  7. Fold the roti into a triangle . Spread into medium thickness paranthas using rolling pin .
  8. Heat a tawa . Place the parantha on the hot tawa . Maintain a medium heat once the tawa is heated.
  9. The paranthas puff up . Flip to another side . Smear , spread a tablespoon of ghee on the parantha.
  10. Fry both sides till slight golden brown spots appear . Ghee paranthas are ready .
  11. Melting Ghee paranthas are ready in no time.Best lunchbox / travel food which stays fresh for days.
