Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Matki dal 1 cup
  2. oil
  3. Fennel seeds
  4. Shallots 15
  5. Ginger 1 inch
  6. Garlic 6 cloves
  7. Tomato 2
  8. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  9. Goda masala 1.5 tsp
  10. Turmeric Powder
  11. Salt
  12. Coriander leaves
  13. Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. SOAK 1 CUP MATKI DAL OVERNIGHT
  2. ADD REQUIRED WATER, 1 TSP SALT AND 1/2 TSP TURMERIC. PRESSURE COOK FOR 5 WHISTLES
  3. ADD OIL IN KADAI. ADD 1 TSP FENNEL SEEDS AND 1 FINELY CHOPPED GREEN CHILLI
  4. ADD SHALLOTS OR 2 SLICED ONION. SAUTE
  5. ADD FINELY CHOPPED GARLIC AND GINGER. SAUTE
  6. ADD 2 CHOPPED TOMATOES
  7. ALLOW TOMATOES TO COOK
  8. ADD 1/2 TSP SALT, 1 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER AND 1.5 TSP GODA MASALA
  9. WHEN OIL SEPARATES FROM MASALA, ADD COOKED DAL
  10. ADD CORIANDER LEAVES. MIX
  11. TURN OFF THE FLAME AND ADD LEMON JUICE
  12. SERVE WITH METHI PULKHAS
  13. SIMPLE AND HEALTHY LUNCH READY TO SERVE
