Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Besan-2 cups
  2. Green coriander leaves-1 &1/2 cups
  3. Ginger-1 inch
  4. Garlic-5
  5. Green chilli-1
  6. Turmeric-1/4 tsp
  7. Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
  8. Coriander powder-1 tsp
  9. Garam masala-1/2 tsp
  10. Asafoetida-1 pinch
  11. Sesame seeds-1 tbsp
  12. Salt
  13. Soda-1 pinch
  14. Lemon juice1 tsp
  15. Oil-1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. PREPARE 2 CUPS BESAN,1&1/2 CUPS CORIANDER LEAVES,1 TBSP GINGER,GARLIC CHILLI PASTE,1/4 TSP TURMERIC,1/2 TSP RED CHILLI POWDER,1 TSP CORIANDER POWDER,1/2 TSP GARAM MASALA,1 PINCH ASAFOETIDA,1 TBSP SESAME SEEDS AND SALT.
  2. FIRST PUT CHOPPED CORIANDER LEAVES IN A MIXING BOWL.
  3. ADD 2 CUPS BESAN.
  4. ADD GINGER,CHILLI,GARLIC PASTE AND DRY SPICES.
  5. ADD SESAME SEEDS AND SALT.
  6. ADD LITTLE WATER AT A TIME AND MIX TO FORM A THICK BATTER.
  7. ADD A PINCH OF SODA AND A TSP OF LEMON JUICE ON IT.MIX LIGHTLY.
  8. POUR THE BATTER IN A GREASED MICROWAVE SAFE MOULD.
  9. MICROWAVE FOR 4 MINUTES AND YOUR KOTHIMBIR WADI WILL BE DONE.
  10. CHECK WITH TOOTHPICK OR KNIFE TO SEE WHETHER IT IS COOKED.
  11. LET IT COOL .THEN CUT INTO PIECES.
  12. SEPERATE PIECES FROM MOULD AND KEEP IN A PLATE.SEE HOW SOFT AND SPONGY THE WADIS ARE.
  13. TAKE A TBSP OF OIL AND SPREAD IN NONSTICK PAN.
  14. KEEP THE WADIS ONE BY ONE IN THE PAN.FRY IN MEDIUM FLAME.
  15. TURN THE WADIS AFTER 2-3 MINUTES,WHEN THE BASE HAS BECOME CRISP AND BROWN.
  16. FRY OTHER SIDE ALSO TILL CRISP.
