there are many memories with parsi mawa cake,from childhood this was my favorite cake as in school during Christmas we used to get this cake along with choclates and Christmas gifts,and after growing also I love the taste of this cake,this is proper irani cake which we can serve with tea coffee and best part is here mawa is prepared at home,my kids too love this cake,friends do try this cake its really yum
Add 1 tsp of butter in a non stick pan
Add 1/2 cup of milk
Stir till butter melts
Add 1/2 cup of milk powder to milk and butter
Keep on stirring till everything incorporates well
It should be lump free
Still their is little time to turn into mawa
It will leave the sides of pan Now mawa is ready
Add 100 gms of butter to a bowl
Add 1 &1/4 cup of powder sugar to butter
Whisk it till it turns creamy and becomes light in color
You can make out the Colour has changed
Keep a seive on bowl
Add 1&1/2 cup of all purpose flour to seive
Seive flour
Add 1 tsp of baking powder and 1/2 tsp of baking soda to seive
Seive all the ingredients
Mix everything with help of spatula
Add 1/2 cup of thick curd and 3/4 cup of milk
Again mix the batter
Add grated mawa/khoya
Give a good mix
Add 1 tsp of cardmom powder
Grease a tin in which you are suppose to bake Mawa Cake
Sprinkle some all purpose flour tap the pan and remove extra flour out of the pan
Line the tin with parchment paper
Add batter to tin
Sprinkle some chopped almond and cashewnut above the batter
Keep for baking in preheated oven for 35-40 minutes on 160 degrees
Insert a tooth pick if it comes out clean our cake is baked
After cooling it completely for 2hrs demould it and remove parchment paper
Cut into slices
You can see the texture its ready to serve
