ABOUT Tandoori Pomfret RECIPE

This is a tongue twister for any fish lover , melts the fish , soft inside crunchy outside .

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 large pomphret fish
  2. salt to taste
  3. 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  4. 1 teaspoon and 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  5. 2 tablespoon lemon juice
  6. 2 tablespoon Kashmiri red chili powder
  7. 1/4 th cup yogurt ( hung)
  8. 1/4 th teaspoon Carom seed ( ajwain )
  9. 1/4 th teaspoon garam masala powder
  10. 1/4 th teaspoon oil of your preference
  11. 1 tablespoon roasted gram flour
  12. butter for brushing
  13. chaat masala for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. Add salt , turmeric powder,red chili powder, ginger- garlic paste
  2. Add lemon juice and mix them well
  3. Let the fish sit in the marination for at least 15 minuets
  4. Beat the hung yogurt
  5. Add gram flour and give it a good mix
  6. Now add red chili powder, garam masala, Carom seed , remaining ginger-garlic paste
  7. The marination looks like this
  8. Marinate the fish and do the set up like this for extra drainage, let it sit for more 15 minuets
  9. Bake at 200 degree centigrade or 370 degree Fahrenheit for 20 minuets and broil for more 5 minuets
  10. Brush with butter and sprinkle Chaat masala....Enjoy !!!!!
