  1. Basmati rice - 2 cups
  2. Potatoes - 2
  3. Water - 3 cups
  4. Cloves - 3
  5. Tomatoes - 2
  6. Onions - 3
  7. Bay leaves - 2
  8. Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric - 1 tsp
  10. Garam masala powder-1 tsp
  11. Dhania powder - 1 tsp
  12. Lemon-1
  13. Oil - 3 tbsp
  14. Ghee - 3 tbsp
  15. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. SOAK 2 CUPS BASMATI IN SUFFICIENT WATER
  2. ADD 2 TBSP OIL TO A SAUCE PAN FRY 2 CHOPPED POTATOES
  3. ADD SOME SALT AND COOK FURTHER
  4. WHEN DONE REMOVE IN A PLATE
  5. ADD SOME OIL BAY LEAVES, FEW CLOVES AND 3 CHOPPED ONIONS
  6. ADD 1 TBSP GINGER GARLIC PASTE SAUTE
  7. ADD 2 CHOPPED TOMATOES, RED CHILLI POWDER, TURMERIC
  8. ADD DHANIA POWDER AND GARAM MASALA POWDER
  9. SAUTE
  10. ADD 3 TBSP GHEE
  11. ADD SOME WATER COOK WELL TILL MUSHY
  12. ADD THE FRIED POTATOES
  13. MIX WELL
  14. SPRINKLE SOME CRUSHED KASURI METHI
  15. ADD THE WASHED AND SOAKED RICE
  16. GIVE A NICE STIR
  17. ADD 3 CUPS WATER COVER AND COOK FOR 10 MINUTES
  18. COOKED SUPERBLY!
  19. DRIZZLE WITH SOME LEMON AND SERVE
