Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 4 eggs
  2. 250g Jaggery
  3. 2 cups thick coconut milk
  4. 1 teaspoon cardamom powder
  5. Cashews - 1/2 cup chopped
  6. Pinch of cinnamon powder
  7. Almonds chopped - to garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Break the Jaggery into small pieces.
  2. Put the Jaggery in a small pan and heat on low to melt the Jaggery.
  3. Beat the eggs. Add the Jaggery mixture to the eggs mixture slowly and continue to beat. Be careful not to cook the eggs.
  4. Add the coconut milk, spices and beat. Lay a baking tray with chopped cashews and pour the mix into the tray
  5. Put the baking dish in a warm bath and bake and bake for 50 mins to one hour. Do the tooth pick test to make sure the Wattalapam is cooked.
  6. Turn it upside down over a plate and Garnish with chopped almonds and serve.
