This dal is my mom's special and healthy recipe for the kids who doesn't want to eat green spinach
Simple and healthy dal.
Soak dal in water for 15 minutes
In a cooker add dal,salt, turmeric powder and cbopped spinach and 2 cup water
Cover the lid
Cook for two whistles
When dal is ready mash with spoon
In a wok heat unclarified Butter
Add cumin,bay leaf and dried red chilly
Add garlic and onion
Saute for 5 minutes and add tomato
Saute till tomatoes are soft
Add garam masala and chilly powder
Add cooked dal
Mix well and boil for 2 minutes
Serve hot dal with plain chapati
