ABOUT Homemade Enchiladas Sauce RECIPE

Make the Enchiladas sauce at home instead of using store brought.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 2 cups Chicken or Veg stock
  2. 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  3. 2 tbsp flour
  4. 3-4 tbsp sweet paprika (adjust)
  5. 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  6. 1/4 tsp cumin powder
  7. 1/4 tsp oregano
  8. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add flour and saute for a minute on medium heat
  2. Add spice powders and oregano. Mix well
  3. Add chicken stock and mix well to ensure no lumps are present. Since the stock contained salt, I skipped it. Add only if required
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes until it starts thickening. Allow to cool, use immediately or store in airtight container. It should be consumed within a week
