Pazham pori is a crispy coated fried banana snack from kerala. It is very mild sweet and quick and easy snack recipe

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 ripe banana
  2. 1 cup all purpose flour
  3. 1 teaspoon sugar
  4. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  5. A pinch of salt
  6. A pinch of turmeric powder ( for nice colour)
  7. About 3/4 cup of water
  8. Coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Place the flour in a bowl
  2. Add sugar , salt and baking soda, mix well
  3. Add 1/2 cup water and adjust as go for make a batter that dosa type batter
  4. It shouldn't be too thin
  5. Add in a pinch of turmeric powder
  6. Cut the banana into half and then make thin vertically slices
  7. All the banana slices put into the batter
  8. Heat the coconut oil in a wok
  9. When the oil is just short of smoking hot add the coated banana pieces in the oil
  10. Fry until golden brown and drain on paper napkin
  11. Then serve the paham pori with sauce
