ABOUT Alfredo penne pasta ( Veg and Non-veg option) RECIPE

A very bland and healthy penne pasta, a colorful pasta with veggies.The goodness of a light Alfredo sauce gives the creamy look although it's a light dish. For a non-veg option, top it with smoked chicken salaami. Enjoy it as a complete meal.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 250 gms pasta
  2. 100 gm red and yellow pepper
  3. 1-2 spring onions with stems
  4. 1 carrot
  5. 1 medium sized tomato
  6. 1 tsp crushed garlic
  7. For the Alfredo sauce:
  8. 1 cup milk
  9. 2 tbsp cornflour
  10. Salt and pepper to taste
  11. 10 gms butter

Instructions

  1. Boil the pasta with salt to taste.
  2. Cut all the veggies in the long /julienne style and keep aside. Also keep the crushed garlic ready.
  3. Now heat a pan to make the sauce, melt in half the butter. Then mix the corn flour into the cold milk well and add it to the warm butter, stir well and sprinkle the salt, pepper, use some water to make the consistency as per your satisfaction and keep the sauce aside.
  4. Next, saute the veggies in the rest of the butter with some salt and crushed garlic till it's done.
  5. Add pasta to the veggies and mix it well. Then blend in the prepared sauce (optional to add a little paprika in the sauce).
  6. Remove in a bowl to serve. Cut the salamI to dress it and mix while eating.
