This dish is a authentic bengali receipe where prawns are cooked fully in coconut milk
I will surely try this.
First wash all the prawns properly
Then marinate with salt and turmeric powder. Keep aside
Heat 2 tbsp oil in pan and light fry all prawns
Then bring out the prawns from the oil in a bowl
In the same pan add 3 tbsp oil and heat up
Add bay leaf, cinnamon, elaichi, cloves
Then add ginger garlic paste,onion paste and saute for few minutes
Then add salt,1/2 tsp turmeric powder,1/2 tsp coriander powder,1/2 tsp heera powder and saute till becomes the oil from side
Then add poppy seeds paste mix well
Add coconut milk and mix
If need water the add little water ( optional)
Then add prawns
When the gravy is thik then off the flame
Serve with plane rice or pulao
