Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Besan 1 cup -1.5 tbs
  2. Beaten Curd 1.5 cups
  3. Heeng 1 pinch
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Whole red chilli 3-4
  6. Musturd seeds 1 tsp
  7. Turmeric powder 2 tsp
  8. Kashmiri red chilli powder -1/2 tsp
  9. Degi mirch 1 tsp
  10. Baking soda 1/2 tsp
  11. Chopped onion 1 medium
  12. Chopped ginger 1/2 tsp
  13. Methi 1/2 tsp
  14. Oil
  15. Ghee 2.5 tbs +1.5 tsp
  16. Curry leaves 10-15
  17. Chopped coriander leaves
  18. Water as required

Instructions

  1. Take 1 cup besan, Salt to taste, baking soda,heeng,degi mirch into a mixing bowl
  2. Make a thick batter with the help of water
  3. Now deep fry small dumplings of this batter into hot oil
  4. Take out and keep a side
  5. Heat 2 tbs oil into a kadhai
  6. Add methi, chopped onion, chopped ginger and saute for 2-3 minutes
  7. Add turmeric powder and quickly add 1/2 cup water
  8. Now add curd+3-4 cup water+ besan
  9. Stir continue for 4-5 minutes on low flame
  10. Add water according to your consistency
  11. Stir continue and cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame
  12. Switch off the gas and add dumplings
  13. Now take ghee in another pan
  14. Add Musturd seeds, whole red chilli,curry leaves
  15. Pour this into the kadhi
  16. Again take 1 tsp ghee and lightly heat
  17. Switch off the gas and add Kashmiri red chilli powder into the ghee
  18. Pour this mixture into the kadhi
  19. Add Chopped coriander leaves into the kadhi
  20. Served hot with steamed rice
