ABOUT American Whole Wheat walnut Brownies RECIPE

While reading about fudge brownie recipe with cocoa powder, I found some interesting facts. Just like many other recipes, the fact that who invented the brownie recipe is not clear. Some say that some chef accidentally made the brownie recipe, whereas he intended to make cookies. And some talk about a housewife in Maine. However, most of the evidence points towards Palmer house hotel in Chicago. Hence we call this gooey brownie recipe to be American.

  1. 120 gm Dark Chocolate
  2. 80 gm Butter Unsalted
  3. 2 pcs Eggs
  4. 100 gm Wheat Flour
  5. 60 gm Brown Sugar
  6. 1/2 cup Chopped waluts
  7. 1 tsp Vanilla Essence
  8. 1 tbs Instant Coffee powder
  9. 2 tbs Nutella Hazelnut Spread
  10. 2 tbs Cocoa Powder
  11. 1/4 tsp Salt (Skip if you are using Salted Butter)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, take butter, chocolate, and coffee powder.Melt all these on double boiler to get a smooth and lumps free solution. Once done, let the solution come to the room temperature.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, take two large eggs. With whisker, whisk these to get soft peaks. Add sugar and whisk again to dissolve sugar completely.
  3. Add chocolate solution and cocoa powder to the egg-sugar mixture and gently fold them.
  4. Sieve flour and salt altogether and mix these into the batter.
  5. Do not over mix the solution. Gently fold all the dry ingredients along with chopped walnuts into wet ingredients with cut n fold method to keep the air intact.
  6. Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 160° C.
  7. Take a 9*9 baking tin and line it with parchment paper. Pour the batter into it. Tap the tin on the counter. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on top. Bake it in a preheated oven at 160° C for 20 minutes.
  8. After 20 minutes, take the tin out from the Oven. Drizzle Nutella on it. Cut it into pieces.
  9. Your whole wheat walnut Nutella brownie is ready to serve. Serve these gooey brownies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
