ABOUT Chinese Veg fried rice RECIPE

Chinese meal gets complete with a yummy fried rice .

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled cooled non sticky rice 1 big bowl
  2. Sesame oil 2 tablespoons
  3. Onions big 2 finely chopped
  4. Garlic cloves 5 finely chopped
  5. Carrots medium size 2 diced into small cubes
  6. Purple cabbage 1/2 chopped into fine pieces 180 grams
  7. French beans finely chopped 1/2 cup . 120 grams .
  8. Salt as required
  9. Soy sauce 2 tablespoon
  10. Hot sauce 1 tablespoon
  11. White pepper 2 teaspoons
  12. sugar 1 teaspoon
  13. Green onions 4 tablespoons .

Instructions

  1. In a wide deep pan , heat oil .
  2. Add the chopped garlic . Fry for few seconds till it releases aroma .
  3. Add finely chopped onions . Sauté till it turns pink .
  4. Add the red cabbage pieces .
  5. Sauté it for two minutes till the raw smell leaves .
  6. Add the carrots and beans .
  7. Toss all the ingredients well .
  8. Don’t over cook the vegetables . I didn’t add any water in this recipe .
  9. The carrots and beans would turn crunchy . Don’t let the veggies to discolour .
  10. Quickly add the sauces .
  11. Adjust salt .
  12. Now add the cooled rice and give a fine toss . Don’t break / mash the grains . Toss well so that the veggies , sauces and rice combined well .,
  13. Add sugar .
  14. Once the fried rice looks glossy and smells aromatic . Switch off the flame .
  15. Garnish with spring onions . Toss and serve hot.
