ABOUT Falahari samosa RECIPE

This is my innovation experiment in the food which can be eaten during fast. As i love fried dishes and simple food is not my cup of tea. So, i came up with this falahari samosa which is made up of rajgire ka aata and stuffed with potatoes,deep fried in desi ghee. Do try this dish once and see how simple fasting meal can be converted into delicious delicacies.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 200 grams of kuttu aata
  2. 4-5 Boiled potatoes
  3. One tbsp oil
  4. One tbsp mustard seeds
  5. Half tbsp turmeric powder
  6. Sendha namak to taste
  7. 2 Chopped green chillies
  8. Chopped coriander leaves
  9. Ghee for Deep Frying

Instructions

  1. Take kuttu aata in a big bowl and add sendha Namak and knead into soft dough. Cover it and keep aside
  2. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds, chopped green chillies. Then add boiled mashed potatoes and mix
  3. Now add turmeric powder and salt according to taste and mix. Cook for few minutes and keep aside to cool
  4. Now take the dough and and make equal size balls from it
  5. Carefully roll out into chapati and fill the potato stuffing and seal it with applying water and slightly pressing the edges
  6. Make them into samosa like shapes and then deep fry them in hot ghee.
  7. Serve hot with mint chutney
