ABOUT Sweet Chilli Sauce RECIPE

This easy and yummy chutney can be an accompaniment to many dishes. Momos, noodles, spring rolls and many more. You’ll fall in love with it's easy preparation and delicious flavor.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 tsp canola oil
  2. 10 dry red chillies
  3. 1/2 cup hot water (to soak the chillies)
  4. 8-9 tsp sugar (adjust to taste)
  5. 2 tbsp tomato ketchup
  6. 1/2 tsp vinegar
  7. Water for consistency (approx 3 tbsp)

Instructions

  1. Soak the dry red chillies in 1/2 cup hot water for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Grind these to a paste along with the soaked water. Now add 1 tsp of oil in a pan and add this to the paste.
  3. Let the paste come to a boil and then add 2 tbsp of tomato ketchup. Let it boil on simmer for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add sugar and let it boil till its thick and the desired consistency is achieved. (You may change the amount of sugar and chili as per your taste preferences.)
  5. This sauce can go with a lot of other variants and dishes. One can make it and freeze it for later use.
